My name is Ruth, and I make cakes.
Chef Ruth Bakery is one kitchen, one baker and a deliberately short calendar. No display case, no baking ahead. I take a limited number of orders each week so that I can look after every one of them.
It always starts with a conversation. The date, the headcount, what you love. After that I take care of the rest, and your cake is finished the morning of your event.

Allow 7 days for a standard order, and two months for a wedding.
Request a quote- You write
- Tell me the date, the servings, the occasion and any allergies. Two minutes is enough.
- We talk it through
- I answer within 48 hours with a priced proposal: flavours, size, decoration, delivery. We adjust together.
- Your date is held
- A 50% deposit books your date in my calendar. For a wedding, the tasting happens at this point.
- I deliver
- Your cake is built and decorated that same morning, then delivered across Montréal, Gatineau or Ottawa.
